Microsoft has announced that it has been experimenting with in-car technology that uses its digital voice assistant Cortana as an interface.
According to the Verge, Samuel Shen, chief operating officer, Microsoft Asia-Pacific Research, has revealed that the company has created a concept that projects Cortana onto the windshield of a car. The Cortana integration allows drivers to make restaurant reservations on their windshield or see their favorite locations thanks to a virtual map.
Shen also revealed that they have not launched similar products due to the high cost, but they hope to have further discussions with Taiwanese partners to jointly explore future possibilities.
Microsoft first introduced its Windows in the car concept last year which included the feature to project a Windows interface into a touch interface.
