Microsoft is reportedly planning on investing 15 million dollars in Foursquare.
The investment is reported to help Foursquare sustain its business, while providing Microsoft the access to a collection of location-based data.
According to the Verge, the software giant is gearing up to integrate Foursquare data directly into Windows and Windows Phone, in order to be in the league with Google and Apple and their location capabilities.
Meanwhile, the move is being viewed as a strategy by Microsoft to expand its mobile initiative.
