Noted mimicry artist Dr Nerella Venu Madhav died after a prolonged illness.
The Padma Shri recipient was undergoing treatment for a few months due to some health issues.
Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his heartfelt condolences on the demise of the mimicry artist.
Hailing the late artist as one who brought "name and fame to the mimicry art as well as universal recognition to it," KCR said the former's death is a great loss to the world.
Born on June 29, 1932, the mimicry legend also served as a Member of Legislative Council from 1972-1978.
He was known for mimicking celebrities, politicians, and Nizams, and was the first one to perform at the United Nations headquarters.
The artist was recently honoured by the state government on the 'State formation Day'.
Late Venu Madhav's funeral will be conducted with state honours.
