National Conference Party (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah on Friday said the religious minorities need to sit together to find a conducive way of tackling the Kashmiri Pandits issue in the state.
"Pandits, Muslims and Sikhs who live in Kashmir will have to sit together and arrive at a conducive way of doing it, in a manner that will not create any more tension in any of the people," Abdullah told the media here.
The government plans to resettle tens of thousands of Kashmiri Pandits in three new townships in Kashmir.
However, separatists have opposed the government's plan, saying the move will change the state's social fabric.
