Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis continued their rampaging form as they sealed a women's doubles semifinal berth in the year-ending WTA Finals here at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday.
The top-seeded Indo-Swiss pair topped the Red Group with an unbeaten 3-0 run after claiming a 6-4, 7-5 win over Hungarian-French fourth seeds Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in their final round robin match that lasted one hour and 30 minutes.
Mirza and Hingis have won eight women's doubles titles this year, including two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open, since joining forces in March.
The WTA Finals is an annual end-of-season tour championship, where the top-eight players or pairs of the year will compete against each other in two round robin groups of red and white.
