England's embattled batsman Ian Bell has expressed optimism that he would regain his form in the third Ashes Test against Australia at Edgbaston, while describing Test cricket as a 'brutal environment'.

The veteran batsman has been struggling with form lately as he has scored just 117 runs in his last six Tests at an average of 10.63. However, the batsman has been pushed up the order to number three for the match on his home ground.

Labelling Test cricket as a 'brutal environment', the 33-year-old said that one has to perform irrespective of their batting positions and insisted that he is looking forward to the challenge of scoring hundreds, the BBC reported.

Bell also said that he is a world-class cricketer when he plays at his best, insisting that he is aiming to replicate same performance in the third Test.

England will seek to bounce back at Edgbaston after they were thrashed by Australia in the second Test at Lord's.
