Mithali Raj and Sana Mir, the respective captains of the Indian and the Pakistani women's cricket teams, have both starred in their new role as teammates in the first Rest of the World women's selection, which beat the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) by 41 runs in a match to celebrate Lord's bicentenary.

Raj, from the Indian state of Rajasthan, scored 67 from 72 balls as the Rest of the World made 283 for nine to maintain her successful record on the hallowed ground, where she had scored half-centuries in each of her two previous appearances.

According to The Guardian, Mir then took four for 36 to prevent the MCC reply from developing sufficient momentum.

Stating that it had been a good day for her, Raj said that although she is usually an introvert and takes time to interact with other people, she however, started talking with the rest of her Rest of the World team right away.
