Mo Farah, the double Olympic and world champion, has insisted that he has never taken performance enhancing drugs amidst doping allegations against his coach Alberto Salazar.
A BBC investigation alleged that Salazar, who was hired as Farah's coach in 2011, doped United States 10,000m record holder Galen Rupp in 2002 when the athlete was 16 years old.
According to a local report, the Briton had missed two drugs tests before he bagged the top honour in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 2012 Olympics.
Refuting this claim, Farah said that he had never taken performance-enhancing drugs in his life, insisting that he would never resort to any such things, the BBC reported.
Farah clarified his stance by saying that he had taken hundreds of drugs tests over the course of his career and every single one had turned out to be negative.

He said that he had explained his position to the authorities regarding the missed two tests, claiming that there was never any suggestion that these were anything more than simple mistakes.
Farah also branded the last two weeks as the toughest of his life, saying that rumours and speculation about him are completely false and the impact this has had on his family and friends has left him angry, frustrated and upset.
Although American coach Salazar has denied these allegations, Farah insisted that his coach would soon be providing evidence to make this clear.
Earlier in the month, an 'emotionally and physically drained' Farah had pulled out of a Diamond League meeting in Birmingham.
