Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi boarded a chartered flight for New Delhi on Sunday.
Modi is expected to arrive in the national capital in a couple of hours, and is likely to head for the BJP headquarters in the central part of the city, where he is expected to address victorious leaders and cadres of his party.
The BJP is currently leading in three of the four states that had polls between November 11 and December 4. It is expected to get a majority in Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In Chhattisgarh, latest reports indicate a close contest and outcome between the BJP and the Congress.
Vote counting is still on in the four states amidst tight security and the final results are expected to be announced later this afternoon.
