Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, jibed at Congress party president by saying that all other political parties of the country, except the BJP, were controlled by Sonia Gandhi.

Addressing an election rally in Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, Modi criticized all other political parties and said that they are controlled by Sonia Gandhi.

"Whether it is Congress, SP (Samajwadi Party), or BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), all of them are one. Don't mistake Congress, BSP and SP to be different, they are all the same and their leader is Madam (Sonia Gandhi). These people fight in Lucknow and again become friends in Delhi," said Modi.

Modi also added that the Congress ruled by the mother-son duo lacks any vision for a better India.

"The government which came in 2004 looted and destroyed everything. The government of mother and son is without any good leader or any plan or policy for the country and also lacks the will to do anything for the country," Modi added.

He also stepped up personal attacks on Rahul, describing him as a pampered princeling who has failed to back up his tall promises of empowering the poor with results.
