Former West Indies fast bowler Michael Holding believes that Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir deserves a second chance to make a comeback to international cricket.

Amir was handed a five year ban for his involvement in the infamous spot fixing scandal in 2010. The ban will expire on September 2 this year.

Holding said that he believes Amir deserves a second chance and he hopes that he grabs this second opportunity firmly with both hands, PakPassion reported.

However, he also opined that he could totally understand people not wanting Amir back in the national side, especially Pakistanis who felt that he had embarrassed the country.

Earlier in the year, the left-armer had received permission from the ICC to return early to domestic cricket and has made a promising start in his bid to make an international comeback.
