Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday expressed profound grief over the demise of Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Mohan Singh, and said that his loss has left a deep gap within the party.
"Mohan Singh has always been in Samajwadi Party. He paved the way for us. He has left a deep gap within the party. He has always been forward in every fight of us. I have never seen a person like him in Parliament. We have to take forward his fight," he told media here today.
Mohan Singh passed away on Sunday at AIIMS after prolonged illness.
Singh, 68 was reportedly suffering from cancer.
