Former Pakistani cricketer and ex-national team selector Mohsin Khan has claimed that the team management are confused about the right combination, insisting that it was the reason behind their loss to arch-rivals India in their Cricket World Cup opener on Sunday.
Mohsin said that the game plan is the most important aspect for any team, adding that in fact, one has to have plan A and plan B and so on which one could implement at the time of batting or bowling.
He added that the management just cannot decide on a plan of action and believes that the team management is unable to understand how to build a team combination and what are the components of the team and are confused about the right combination, Pak Passion reported.
Mohsin said that the Pakistani team management seems to be struggling to decide on who should be opening and who should be in the middle order etc, adding that they have already got a problem where Umar Gul and Junaid Khan have been rendered unfit due to misuse.
Mohsin added that they also fear for Mohammad Irfan who needs to be handled with extreme care.
The former cricketer insisted that Pakistan has a situation where Irfan is bowling all of his overs in the game due to a lack of support and added that they saw in the game against India, that the bowler was struggling.
Mohsin claimed that it is obvious that when one walks into a game with this kind of planning then even India, who are not the favourites for this World Cup, would be a tough proposition for Pakistan.
