French football club AS Monaco has reportedly put a 80 million-euro price tag on their Colombian ace James Rodriguez as Real Madrid are said to be keen to add the winger to their squad this summer.
A Spanish newspaper has reported that Monaco have upped the price of Rodriguez, keeping in mind that Real want to add him to their squad.
According to The Independent, speculations are that Rodriguez is keen to sign for Real, which could see his club have to lower their valuation, but perhaps only to around 70 million euros.
Speculations are also rife that Monaco are reportedly interested in several Real players, including Fabio Coentrao and Alvaro Morata, which could also help drive the price for Rodriguez down.
Rodriguez only signed for Monaco last season, in a 45 million-euro move from Porto, and still has four years remaining on his contract. But the Colombian's performances at the World Cup have thrust him firmly into the public eye and he now has several suitors, the report added.
