American television personality Monica Lewinsky launched a new anti-bullying campaign as a part of Public Service Announcement (PSA) on the occasion of the National Bullying Prevention Month.
Titled as #DefyTheName, Lewinsky is spearheading the campaign. As part of it, she revealed the worst name she has ever been called, saying, "I had a long list of things from which to choose. Where I landed, given the 50 characters you could have for your display name, is 'Monica Chunky Slut Stalker That Woman Lewinsky.' And that just scratches the surface."
The PSA, which Lewinsky helped produce, asks people to change their display names on Twitter and Instagram for the month of October, or part of the month, to a name they have been bullied with, confirmed People Magazine.
For Lewinsky, it is the latest step in reiterating her story connected to former United States president Bill Clinton's infamous remarks at a 1998 press event.
The PSA also features other well-known names, such as Lena Dunham, Sarah Silverman, Olivia Munn, Maysoon Zayid and John Oliver, who are changing their display names to insulting nicknames they were bullied with often as kids.
