After a gap of about two weeks, the monsoon has once again become active in Uttar Pradesh.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is being recorded in almost all the regions including water crisis hit Bundelkhand region.
Rivers in terai belt of Uttar Pradesh have swelled raring to touch the danger marks at several places.
Ghagra and Sharda both rivers of this region are in surge due to continuous rainfall in upper reaches of mountains.
As per reports, Mandakini, a local river of Chitrakoot and tributary of Yamuna was so much swelled with excess water that it submerged the shops on Ramghat on Saturday.
However, no casualty occurred as administration was on constant alert.
While bulging Ghaghra under Harraiyya tehsil in Sitapur is cutting its banks near Lolpur and Gaurianain villages posing flood threats to the area.
The administration is making all efforts to save the people and minimise the damage.
Whereas the farmers in most parts of the state are a happy lot as their Kharif crop is getting much needed water because of good rainfall.
