England cricket team coach Peter Moores has given his senior players a verbal 'kick' up their 'backside' and told them that it is time to deliver.

Moores displayed his faith by picking them all again in a 13-man squad for the third Test against India, that will start in Southampton on Sunday, but they are under heavy scrutiny.

Lancashire county cricket club player Jos Buttler has replaced Matt Prior, who is no longer available due to injury, in the 13-man squad, The Mirror reported.

However, Moores has warned the other senior players to start delivering and that includes skipper Alastair Cook.

One by one, Moores took each of Ian Bell, James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Cook out on to the dressing room balcony at Lord's for a heart to heart after England's 95-run defeat to India and is reportedly believed to have made it clear that it was up to them to bail Cook and England out of their current nightmare.

The coach said that they all need a 'kick up the backside' sometimes, adding that if one thinks it is a wasted opportunity because people are not trying, then one is going to kick them up the backside because they are not putting in.

Moores said that what has got to happen is the senior players have got to look at their own games and decide how they are going to come back and play to the level needed to be in a successful England team.
