More cases of dengue may be reported with fresh spell of rain: Nadda

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Sunday said that there could be more cases of dengue with fresh spell of rain and asked the people not to create panic on the viral disease.

"Yesterday, the Union Health Ministry has issued an advisory again and said that with fresh spell of rain there could be more cases of dengue. The Delhi Government has to take into consideration about the cleanliness drive as well as make sure that enough beds are there in the hospitals," Nadda told the media here.

"Whatever help is needed from the Government of India, we are ready to give. I want to tell the public through media to not cause panic," he added.

 

Nadda also assured that he had ordered an enquiry into the incident reported in media involving death of another child in the national capital due to dengue.

Dengue scare in the national capital escalated on Thursday with the death of another child, taking the death toll to 20.
