MoU signed for industrial township of Andhra's Krishnapatnam

A Share Holder Agreement (SHA) and State Support Agreement (SSA) was signed between the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), on Thursday, for the establishment of Krishnapatnam, a fully functional industrial township.

The project costing Rs 60,000 crore would generate 2,15,000 employment opportunities.

The project duration is set at six to seven years, and covers a total development area of 12,083 acres.

CH2M has been appointed as the master planning and engineering consultant.

Also, the trunk infrastructure cost is estimated at Rs 10,000 crore, of which Rs 3000 crore is contributed by the central government.
