A new study has revealed that simply walking around and stretching during the day help patients manage back pain better than taking Tylenol and rest.

Researcher Chris Sebelski from Saint Louis University said that it may be that acetaminophen helps but doesn't completely eliminate back pain, or it may work for some people and some injuries, but not others.

Sebelski added that movement is key to a healthy life, but the society is sedentary with a lot of jobs being repetitive and intense and so instead of sitting at desk for hours, people should change positions, stand for 20 minutes, or go for a walk and talk to someone, which will keep them healthy and allow them to adjust.

Sebelski concluded that deep breathing really activates key muscles in trunk and so people should talk, laugh out loud, do cardio, do yoga and do things that force them to breathe, which will help their back stay healthy.

Sebelski further suggested that there's no such thing as just "rest," as at rest, muscles weaken, but moving builds strength.
