Experts have estimated that David Moyes being sacked as Manchester United coach would cost the club more than 200 million-pounds.

An accountant has predicted that United will face a slump worth 50 million-pounds in revenues due to the club's absence from next season's Champions League.

Moreover, the club would suffer another 150 million-pounds loss in revenue, which Moyes' replacement would demand in order to rebuild the United squad, the Guardian reported.

The estimated 200 million-pound loss to United might reportedly be mitigated slightly if the team qualifies for the Europa League.

The estimated 50 million-pound loss, consisting of television rights, prize money and gate receipts with the cost of running the club remaining relatively constant, United's operating profit is reportedly speculated to be affected directly.

Speculations are that United would have to spend over 150 million-pound in transfer fees to rebuild the team, the report added.

Also United is expected to spend even more money with football finance's rule of thumb saying that 100 million-pounds of transfer fees costs a club 200 million-pounds when one includes wages over four-year contracts, the report added.
