Manchester United boss David Moyes is convinced of having Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the club as he has tabled an official 26 million pounds bid.
Despite the likelihood of Barcelona rejecting the initial offer, Moyes is clear that the former Arsenal player is the creative, goal-scoring midfielder he needs to successfully defend the Premier League title, the Mirror reports.
According to the report, Fabregas left Arsenal for Barca in a 25 million pound deal two years ago, but United believes they can now bring him back to England.
However, if they want to have Fabregas, they will probably have to offer in excess of 30 million pounds.
Before making the bid for Fabregas, Moyes considered a move for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, who was a United target when at previous club Spurs, but he is understood to be no longer an option.
Man U will turn their attention to Everton talisman Marouane Fellaini if they fail in their pursuit of Fabregas, the report added.
