New Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that he cannot afford to become over-reliant on Robin van Persie, as the Dutchman bagged both goals at Wembley when the Old Trafford giants beat Wigan 2-0 to claim the FA Community Shield.
According to The Daily Star, Moyes expressed that the club had to be aware how often they could use the player and he would endeavour to make sure that he does that to the best of his ability.
The Dutchman, who signed from Arsenal, scored 30 goals in his first United season, the report said.
The manager said that Man United had other centre forwards although Rooney was not fit and Chicharito had an injury.
