Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Sunday dedicated the BJP's win in the civic polls to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it was a victory of the latter's policies.
"This is a victory of our ideology, this is a victory of the policies of Prime Minister Modi," Chauhan said.
"I am no more disturbed, now I am angry. There have been attempts of defaming my state," he added while hitting out at the opposition.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister further accused the Congress of attempting to defame his state.
"We removed the BIMARU tag from Madhya Pradesh," he said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday swept the civic polls, winning eight out of the 10 seats. The Congress and an independent candidate bagged one seat each.
The elections for the civic polls were held on August 12.
