Expressing shock and grief over the twin rail accidents in Madhya Pradesh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday extended her condolences to the family of the deceased.

At least 28 people have died after two passenger trains, Kamayani Express and Janata Express, derailed within minutes of each other while crossing flooded tracks in Madhya Pradesh last night.
Several NDRF teams have been rushed to the site of the derailment to carry out relief and rescue operations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have expressed condolences over the mishap and assured help to those affected by the tragedy.
