Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has reportedly staged a protest outside the White House in Washington, D.C., to urge U.S. President Barack Obama to use his influence to end what it said was 'victimisation' of its supporters in Pakistani city of Karachi.

At a Saturday evening protest, MQM members claimed that Pakistan's government was targeting people in Karachi for supporting their party, reported the Dawn.

They urged U.S. lawmakers to raise the issue in the Congress and also with the visiting Pakistani officials 'to end the atrocities being committed against Mohajirs'.

The party leaders also expressed their full confidence in Altaf Hussain and pledged to continue their struggle under his leadership.
