Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) or Doctors Without Border has said an international panel is ready to probe the recent US bombing of one of its hospitals in the Afghan city of Kunduz as soon as it receives approvals from the United States and Afghanistan.
According to The Washington Times,MSF has called the setting up of an independent humanitarian fact-finding commission under the 1991 Geneva Convention to handle the probe.
Joanne Liu, MSF International President, said they had received apologies, but maintained it was not enough.
MSF has alleged the bombing, if intentional, constitutes a war crime.
The hospital was bombed in an air strike on October 3 in Kunduz where Afghan forces were combatting Taliban militants.
