MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry has apologized on Twitter for mocking former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's Christmas card and his adopted black grandchild.

Harris-Perry displayed the card on her show, featuring Kieran Romney sitting on his grandfather's lap surrounded by the rest of the Romney family. Harris-Perry remarked that a lot of people had emotions about this baby picture this year, the New York Post reports.

The laugh attack on Harris-Perry's show included guest Pia Glenn singing, "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just isn't the same."

Harris-Perry then joked she'd like to see the younger Romney and North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, get married in 2040. "Can you imagine Mitt Romney and Kanye West as in-laws?" she said.

Harris-Perry and her guests were blasted for making racist and anti-adoption jokes.

She apologized to all the families built on loving transracial adoptions, the report added.
