Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Friday expressed grief over the loss of life in the recent terror attack on a police station in the Kathua District of the state, assuring that his government will provide immediate relief to the families of the deceased.
"I share the grief of the people who have suffered in the dastardly attack in Kathua, in which two CRPF personnel, one constable and one civilian have lost their lives. I express my heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. Necessary instructions have been issued to provide immediate relief to the kin of the deceased," Mufti said, while addressing the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
Earlier in the day, armed militants attacked the Rajbagh Police Station in the Kathua district, leaving six people dead.
In the ensuing gun battle, two militants were shot dead by the security forces.
