Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday announced that Reliance Jio, which has achieved unprecedented level of acceptance in the world, has crossed a subscriber base of 100million in record time.
"Jio has risen to lofty heights only because of affection shown by first 100 million customers," said Mukesh Ambani while thanking the millions of customers who have made Jio a huge success.
"100 crore gigabytes of data has been consumed on the Jio network. Today India is the number one consumer of data in the world today," he added.
Adding to this Ambani said that in the coming months we will more than double our data capacity which means better quality for customers.
"We are obsessed to deliver world class connectivity and superior experience to all our customers. Data is the oxygen of digital life. We will provide all this at affordable prices. While we are best today we will strive to be better," said Ambani while announcing that India is now world's number one country for mobile data usage.
Mukesh Ambani also announced the Jio Prime membership for all customers who subscribed to the services on or before March 31.

He added that the users can enroll in the Jio prime membership for a one-time fee of Rs. 99.
"Prime members will be eligible for all the unlimited benefits availed during the introductory offer for another 12 months till March 31, 2018 by paying a fee of Rs 303 per month," he added.
