President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignation of Dr. Kavuru Sambasiva Rao, Minister of Textiles, from the Council of Ministers, with immediate effect on the advise of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Further, as advised by the Prime Minister, President Mukherjee has directed that Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry, shall be given additional charge of the work of the Ministry of Textiles, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.
