Mukherjee hopes India-Singapore ties will extend beyond multifaceted bilateral cooperation

President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of Singapore on the occasion of the National Day of Singapore.

In a message to the President of Singapore, Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, Mukherjee said: "On behalf of the Government and the people of India, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you, the Government and the people of Singapore our warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day."

He further said that Singapore and India enjoy a deep and enduring relationship. Our cooperation extends beyond our multifaceted bilateral cooperation and growing people-to-people linkages to include active collaboration in various regional fora.

 

Mukherjee said that he was confident that the close friendship between the two nations would be elevated to an even higher level in the coming years.

He extended his best wishes for the personal health and well-being of President Keng Yam and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Singapore.
