Mukherjee receives first copy of book "Hashiye Se Mukhyadhara Tak"

President Pranab Mukherjee received the first copy of a book "Hashiye Se Mukhyadhara Tak" written by Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia at a function at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

The President received the book from Dr. Karan Singh, MP (Rajya Sabha) and Chairman, ICCR who formally released it.

Speaking on this occasion, the President stated that Pahadia had the privilege of witnessing the unfolding of the story of the Indian Republic and how democracy had taken its roots in India. As soon as he crossed the minimum bar of eligibility in terms of age i.e. 25 years, Pahadia entered the second Lok Sabha.

He said that the total objectivity with which Pahadia has described the unfolding of events in his autobiography is remarkable.

 

He further stated that the capability, commitment and great humility that Shri Pahadia has displayed in the course of his life is a great lesson for all of us.

He congratulated Pahadia on his accomplishment and wished him a long, healthy and eventful life.
