People in Mumbai and Delhi have welcomed the slashing of petrol prices by Rs. 1.82 per liter saying that the move has provided some much needed relief to the common people.

Mahesh Patil of Mumbai said, "It is a relief for a middle class person like me. We are expecting that the petrol prices will be further slashed because a middle class person like me uses two wheelers which run on petrol a lot."

Another Mumbai resident Vishal also added, "It is good that petrol prices have come down. I hope that the prices are lowered further".

Vinod Kumar from Delhi also gave a thumbs-up to the news saying, "The petrol price was slashed even a few days back. It is good that petrol prices have been lowered twice within a month."

Petrol prices were slashed by Rs. 1.82 per litre starting Saturday midnight whereas the price of diesel has gone up by 50 paise.

This is the third time that the petrol prices have been lowered in this month, attributed to falling price of petrol in international oil market

The rates of non-subsidized LPG have also been reduced by Rs. 19 per cylinder.
