Denis Waitley, the award-winning author of books such as "Seeds of Greatness" and "The Winner's Edge" said, "The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence."
How about children having the responsibility of making decisions on global issues that can impact the future of humanity? How about children being in positions of power while role-playing as leaders of our nations?
It is with this tremendous responsibility and opportunity that a delegation of students from NSS Hill Spring International School in Mumbai embarked on a journey to Beijing, China to participate in the Harvard Model United Nations China conference as part of the Worldview Future Leaders Program.
The delegation consisting of students who are in their early to mid-teens however seemed to have a bigger mission as they didn't just participate in the conference but left an indelible mark on it with a winning performance where they got individual awards in 12 out of the 14 committees that were simulated at this prestigious conference.
To top it off, the school delegation was recognised with the Outstanding Large Delegation award!
