World number three Andy Murray progressed through to the third round of the US Open after battling past Adrian Mannarino here on Friday.
Murray recovered from a two-set deficit as he overcame his French opponent 5-7, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1 in three hours and 17 minutes.
Meanwhile, fifth-seeded Stan Wawrinka also advanced to the next round by beating his South Korean opponent Chung Hyeon 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (8-6).
28-year-old Murray will now lock horns with Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci, who clinched 6-0 6-3 6-4 win over Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka.
