World number three Andy Murray advanced to the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon Championships for the eighth time in a row after he overcame big-serving Ivo Karlovic at the Centre Court.
The third seed won the match 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 5-7 6-4 in three hours and three minutes.
The British champion will now face unseeded Canadian Vasek Pospisil in the last eight, the BBC reported.
Meanwhile, world number two Roger Federer and his compatriot Stanlias Wawrinka also advanced to the last eight.
Seven-time champion Federer defeated Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 to reach his 13th quarter-final while French Open champion Wawrinka defeated Belgian 16th seed David Goffin 7-6, 7-6, 6-4 to reach the last eight for the second successive year.
Defending champion Novak Djokovic's surge was halted due to bad light. The world number one however is in danger as he stood at 6-7, 6-7, 6-1, 6-4 in four rounds against 14th seeded South African Kevin Anderson when play was suspended.
In the women's singles, top seeds Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova advanced to the quarter- finals but fifth seed Caroline Wozniacki suffered a huge upset as she was defeated by 20th seed Garbine Muguruza.
