Andy Murray produced a rich vein of form on Friday as he swept aside Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets to give Great Britain a 1-0 lead in the Davis Cup semi-final against Australia.
Murray dropped just six points on serve as the Britain number one trounced the Australian teenager 6-3 6-0 6-3 in a contest that lasted one hour and 47 minutes.
Reflecting on his performance, Murray said that he had been hitting the ball very cleanly from the beginning, adding that he put his opponent under a lot of pressure on his serve, the Guardian reported.
Dan Evans will be hoping to give the hosts a 2-0 lead as he takes on Australia's Bernard Tomic in the second singles rubber.
