Murray rallies past Paire to reach Monte Carlo Masters quarters

World number two Andy Murray secured a quarterfinal berth in the Monte Carlo Masters after rallying past Benoit Paire of France in his men's singles event on Thursday.

After making a slow start, the two-time major champion bounced back strongly to secure a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 victory over the world number 21 in the third round contest that lasted two hours and 33 minutes.

Murray will now lock horns with 10th seed Milos Raonic, who also edged past qualifier Damir Dzumhur 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(5) to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, fifth-seed Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will also aim for the quarterfinal-berth when they will take on their respective opponents later in the day.
