Defending US Open champion Andy Murray has said that he is not looking beyond his next match to contemplate a semi-final showdown with Novak Djokovic because he cannot afford to do so.
According to the Mirror, The Scot and the Serb are scheduled to meet in the last four this time and Murray expressed that considering how tough a draw he had at Wimbledon, he could not take anything for granted.
The Wimbledon Champion said that him and Djokovic could both lose in the next round and it was just too early to think of a clash between the two.
Meanwhile, Murray is focusing on German Mayer and the last time they met, in Madrid in March, Mayer proved to be a pain, causing the 26-year-old Scot to aggravate the back problem, which would force him to miss the French Open, the report said.
The Scot said that Mayer had given problems to a lot of guys and he would need to play well to beat him.
