Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has admitted that he is returning to the Australian Open after his injury time-out from tennis with a renewed love for the game.

The Scot, who was absent for over three months following his back surgery, is preparing to open his Aussie Open campaign against Go Soeda of Japan, ranked 112 in the world.

According to the Mirror, the British No.1 has revealed that he is returning with a renewed love for the game as he can now appreciate what it is like to be an athlete, especially during his time away from the sport with an injured back, adding that he had started to miss playing, travelling and just being around the tournaments.

The No.4 seed will return to Grand Slam tennis against Soeda, who has never won an ATP title and has triumphed in only three Grand Slam matches in 10 years, the report added.
