World number two Andy Murray continued his rich vein of form as he fended off Spain's David Ferrer in straight sets to storm into the finals of the China Open here on Saturday.

The Briton, who has already assured his place at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, swept aside Ferrer 6-2, 6-3 in the last four contest of the men's singles event that lasted one and half hour.

Murray, who is bidding for his maiden China Open title, will face either Canada's Milos Raonic or Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in the summit showdown.
