Murray sizzles as Nadal and Wawrinka ousted from Cincinnati

Olympic champion Andy Murray continued his sizzling form as reached the quarterfinals of the Western and Southern Open, the US Open warm-up event, while Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka exited in the third round.

Murray, the three-time Grand Slam champion, overcame an early hiccup in the first set to clinch a 6-3, 6-2 win over South African giant Kevin Anderson in Cincinnati, the Guardian reported.

Nadal, who a gold medal in doubles event in Rio, showed fatigue in the match as he lost the game 1-6, 3-6 to 19-year-old Borna Coric of Croatia.

On the other hand, second seed Wawrinka also failed to step up, losing his third round match 4-6, 4-6 to Bulgarian rival Grigor Dimitrov.
