British Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has revealed that he still 'keeps in touch' with his former coach Ivan Lendl and still care about their friendship and the trust they established over the best two years of the Scot's career.

Ahead of the French Open, Murray, who has come through three tournaments without his mentor of two years, is however, in contact with Lendl more than anyone else despite their 'mutual' split two months ago.

According to The Guardian, Murray said that Lendl texted him the day after he lost to world No.1 Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters, adding that he might call Lendl or have a chat with him before Roland Garros.

Stating that Lendl sent him encouraging texts following his close loss to Nadal, Murray further revealed that he had asked Lendl's advice for a replacement coach, although he added that his prospective coach is not among those persons recommended by Lendl.
