British number one Andy Murray brushed aside world number three Rafael Nadal in straight sets in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship semifinals in Abu Dhabi for the first time since the 2013 Wimbledon final clash.
Murray, who thrashed Nadal 6-2, 6-0, would face top ranked Novak Djokovic in the finals of professional tennis exhibition tournament on Saturday.
Nadal, who was playing his first match since losing to 17-year-old Borna Coric in the Swiss Open, appeared to be completely out-of-form as the Spaniard failed to convert any of his 12 break points, the BBC reported.
Murray said that it was closer than the score suggests, adding that while Nadal had a lot of break points he won the important ones. He further said that it seemed that all the pre-season hard work was paying off, the report added.
