Liberia Football Association chairman Musa Bility has announced that he will stand for the presidential post of FIFA to replace the outgoing president Sepp Blatter.

Bility, 48, who is the second person to declare his candidacy after former Brazilian international Zico, said that it was Africa's turn to lead the world football.

He said that Africa was the largest voting bloc in FIFA and therefore they must take the lead to bring football together, the BBC reported.

He insisted that they all agree that football was facing a difficult time and it was in those difficult moments that great leaders emerge.

Earlier, on June 2, Blatter had announced that he would step down from the presidential post amid the ongoing FIFA scandal over corruption.

Meanwhile, the date for the next FIFA Congress is expected to be set by the executive committee at its meeting on July 20 when the date for the presidential elections will be decided.
