Former Pakistan President retired General Pervez Musharraf has been arrested over the 2007 Red Mosque raid, which led to the death of cleric Abdul Rashid Ghazi and more than 100 others.

General Musharraf was granted bail on Thursday by the Supreme Court in another case, the BBC reports.

However, Musharraf claimed that all the charges against him are politically motivated, the report added.

General Musharraf has also been given a bail in murder trial cases of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and a Baloch tribal leader.

He is also facing charges over his attempt to sack Pakistan's higher judiciary in 2007.
