Former Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf has been granted exemption from attending the hearing of the treason trial against him in the special court following his deteriorated health conditions.
The special court has adjourned the next hearing until Tuesday and has instructed Musharraf's lawyers to submit his medical reports, Dawn News reports.
Musharraf is facing treason charges under Article 6 of the Constitution for abrogating, subverting, suspending, holding in abeyance and attempting to conspire against the 1973 Constitution by declaring emergency and overthrowing the superior judiciary in November 2007.
