A music video titled "Xi Dada Loves Peng Mama" that portrays the love story of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan has taken the Internet by storm.
People's Daily reported that the video, which lasts 3 minutes and 21 seconds, contains 33 photos and 2 comic illustrations of the couple showing small details like tacit eye contact between them.
The video which was uploaded last Tuesday by two singers from central China's Henan Province, has more than 22 million hits on Tencent's video website.
The report quoted one of the singers, Yu Runze, as saying that the chemistry between the couple has impressed many netizens and it inspired him and his partner to write this song.
The other singer Xu An said that the song intended to change the stereotype image of a serious political leader into someone who could connect with ordinary people, adding this would make people have an emotional connection to the couple.
