Amy Adams has confessed that she was not confident enough after her first breakthrough as Hollywood glitz and glamour was quite different from her past in the Mormon Church.

She revealed that she grew up as a Mormon and that had more of an impact on her values than her beliefs, the Sun reported.

The 38-year-old star said that she choked and felt a lot of pressure after reaching at the level.

The 'Man Of Steel' actress said that at the Oscars while sitting next to Sean Penn and Meryl Streep, she felt that it was not her place.

The actress added that she feels guilty after having too much fun when in bars or clubs.

The strict teachings environment of the Mormon Church even bans cigarettes, coffee, tea, drugs and sex before marriage.
